While we understand that the Great Commission applies to all Christians, it can be easy to let the missionaries overseas handle the Missions work. It is not necessarily done consciously, but we all have our own ministries that need our attention.
That being said, what will you do when Missions collides with your regular ministry responsibilities? Will you be ready to face the challenge? You need the proper tools to reach the international community around you.
They are your mission field.
Such a collision of ministry and missions recently hit a new pastor of a church in Colorado. On his first Sunday behind the pulpit of his new church, he discovered that there was an unsaved Thai woman in the congregation. Her husband was saved, but she was not. She had stopped going to the Buddhist temple because she was unhappy. She was willing to attend services with her husband, but she could not understand what was being preached.
This pastor reached out to Konvert, and our team began translating the pastor’s sermons into Thai. The following Sunday, the pastor surprised her and handed her the translated version of his sermon. Week two, she asked for the translation. In the third week, she thanked the pastor profusely for the translation. During week four of this pastor using Konvert, the woman asked for a meeting with the pastor and professed Christ as Savior.
Four weeks.
With the influx of immigrants from other nations, collisions like this are happening in churches across our country.
Every week.
Will you be ready to face the challenge?
